My Music
I don’t really have music ‘released’ as much as I’ve just posted videos of demo recordings from my phone. I’ll leave a nice little collection of them here for you to watch!
Officially releasing music in 2025 is a big goal of mine though, so stay tuned!
WATER HAMMOCK
‘Water Hammock’ - An improvised tune with my band SKINK, consisting of myself on keys, Mansell L. on bass and Naomi Smith on drums. You’ll hear light chatter as we’re calling out chord / structural changes in this one. Recorded in my living room (rehearsal space) in Jan ‘25.
SUNSET (IMPROV)
‘Sunset’ - This was completely improvised off of the top of my head using only the motif of the first two notes that you hear. Played on an Autumn night in March ‘23. I was trying to use the Lydian mode as inspiration for this one. It has such an ethereal sound that is so enchanting on piano.
INHIBITIONS
‘Inhibitions‘ - I wrote a new song in the early hours of the morning. It's about my constant struggle with my own inhibitions stemming from my anxious nature. I’d just got a new 3/4 size guitar and freshly painted it, so I took it out at 2AM and wrote this song on the spot in the backseat of my car. You're hearing the first recording of the song ever made, using my phone microphone, in the back of my car. It doesn't get more demo-y than that!
ALEXANDRA
This one is an original tune called ‘Alexandra’. It was written on guitar, although I’ve been playing it on piano these days.
This was taken from the first time I ever sung my original songs to an audience. Nerves were high, and spirits were higher. I was joined by the magnificent Tab Hart on vocals to provide beautiful harmonies and I’m so thankful for her to have joined me.

(This was a fun video I made for an event at the teaching school I was at. I recorded EVERY sound you hear on that one keyboard. If the video looks like I’m not playing what you’re hearing, it might be because I was using the pitch bender as well, and you might also see snippets of me playing the drums, or percussion, or the bass part)
BEATING HEART
‘Beating Heart’ - This is another song that was recorded at my first ever originals gig. It’s a Jazz Bossa Nova song built upon a notion of romance, as most in that genre are. This is another example of a song that I wrote on guitar, but now play on piano instead. I was joined on stage by the fantastic Lily Sarah, who provided wonderful harmonies and soaring counter melodies, of which she came up with herself! Always such a privilege and thrill to perform with such talent, especially on my own material!
